Cofounder VC aims to build an ecosystem in which two coexisting worlds can find common ground and cooperate.

One world is represented by innovative enterprises utilizing new technologies or non-linear business models but lacking the resources to scale. The other world is made up of established businesses and the people who run them, equipped with an abundance of knowledge and assets.

We believe great companies grow faster with the right partners. That's why we rely on a strong network of Venture Partners and industry experts who support founders in areas such as international expansion, sales team development, fundraising, organizational scaling, and building leadership structures.

We invest up to EUR 3m for minority stakes in fast-growing technology companies led by bold, execution-driven teams.

Tomasz Goliński, Ph.D.

Founding Partner

His professional experience spans over 10 years in investment banking and corporate finance, during which he has developed extensive expertise in these fields. He has advised on numerous share and bond offerings, project finance transactions, M&A deals, restructuring projects, and investments in public and private markets.

Tomasz gained professional experience at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, ING Group, PGE and IPOPEMA Securities. He has also co-founded startups, advised entrepreneurs and invested in companies operating in the IoT, VR, gaming and electromobility sectors.

Tomasz holds degrees in economics, law and commodity science. He conducted PhD research at Stanford University's School of Engineering, focusing on innovation-driven economies, research commercialisation and resource innovation. He also holds certificates in venture capital investing and technology entrepreneurship from Kauffman Fellows, the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Michał Sioda, CFA

In the nine years prior to joining CofounderZone, Michał gained experience across various areas of finance, working in the Research Department at Trigon Brokerage House, the Financial Controlling Team at Eurocash Group and the Corporate Credit Analysis Department at Raiffeisen Polbank.

Michał holds an Investment Advisor licence (No. 674) and a Securities Broker licence (No. 2554), and is a CFA charterholder. He graduated from Poznań University of Economics, where he studied Finance and Accounting. He also studied Informatics and Electronic Economy. In his spare time, he enjoys bouldering and sport climbing.

Maciej Kowalczyk

Associate Partner

Seasoned investor with over 25 years of experience in sourcing, executing and managing investments at various stages. Besides direct investments, he managed and supported numerous exits, capital raises and bolt-on acquisitions.

Prior to joining Cofounder VC, he ran his own nano-VC fund, Corvus Ventures, and before was an investor at Enterprise Investors, RTAventures and MCI Management.

Jacek Lewandowski

Chairman of the Investment Committee CofounderZone

Jacek is a cofounder and CEO of IPOPEMA Securities. He has over 20 years of experience in financial advisory, with a particular focus on bringing securities to public markets and leading public offerings.

Before founding IPOPEMA, he worked at DI BRE Bank, Polski Bank Rozwoju, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and Commercial Union. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous capital market transactions, including the privatisation of state-owned companies through listings on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, public offerings of privately held companies, M&A transactions, convertible bond issues and several issues of closed-end investment fund certificates.
